It is with profound sadness that I learned of the sudden passing of Professor Stanley McGreal. During my PhD years at the University of Ulster, Professor McGreal was more than just a supervisor; he was a mentor, a guide, and an inspiration. His remarkable charisma, unwavering discipline, vast knowledge, and kind heart not only helped me navigate the challenging journey of my PhD but also inspired me to strive to be an exemplary lecturer, just like him. Professor McGreal's contributions to the property industry and academia were immense, and his passing is a great loss to us all. His legacy, however, will continue to live on through the countless students, colleagues, and professionals whose lives he touched and shaped. I am eternally grateful for his guidance and support, and I am honoured to have had the privilege of learning from such a distinguished and compassionate individual. Gone, but never forgotten.
